The Town of Westford was incorporated in 1729. A quintessential New England town, Westford boasts a state of the art library, a community center, an active recreation department, and an excellent school system. The Nashoba Valley Ski Area, and two town beaches on spring-fed ponds offer four seasons sports and recreation. The yearly Apple Blossom Festival in May includes a parade and the crowning of an apple blossom queen. The June Strawberry Festival hosts a craft fair. Topgraphically Westford has rolling hills, lakes, and apple orchards.

Originally know for its farms and woolen mills,
